Q: When do I get my tech shirt?
A: During packet pick-up! (See next question)


Q:
WHEN / WHERE is Packet Pick-Up?
A: Packet pick up will be September 6&7. GoRun West (on the 6th) and GoRun East (on the 87th). You can also pick up your packet on race day starting at 7am!

TEAMS- your team captain will pick up all of your team shirts- don’t go to packet pick-up.


Q:
Do I have to be a runner (or female) to participate?
A: No! Walkers, runners, men, women, and kids are welcome! Even if you have never entered a race before. You just need to be able to complete the 3.1 miles comfortably.


Q:
How do I know if I can complete the 3.1 miles?
A: If you can walk for an hour, you are probably covering the distance.


Q:
Do you allow baby joggers/strollers?
A: Yes, but for everyone’s safety they must start at the back of the race line and walk only during the event. Running or jogging while pushing a stroller is not allowed. Following these guidelines will prevent accidents as well as avoid harm to yourself, your child and other runners. There is no extra fee; you do not need to register a child riding in a stroller. Sorry, wagons are not allowed.


Q:
Do I have to be a certain age to participate?
A: The Race 4 Freedom 5K is open to all ages!


Q:
Can I run with my dog?
A: Sorry, dogs are not allowed on the race course.


Q:
What happens if I get sick, or I don’t end up attending the race? Can I give my entry to someone else, or get my money back?
A: Sorry, entries are non-refundable and non-transferable. No exceptions.


Q:
I’m not familiar with Carpenter Place. Where is it?
A: Carpenter Place is by the river in a residential area. The address is 1501 N Meridian, Wichita, KS 67203 ~ Formerly Maude Carpenter Children’s Home. The race starts and finishes on the Carpenter Place campus (view map.)


Q:
What time do I need to be there before the start?
A: If you have already picked up your packet, we recommend that you arrive at the start no later than 8:00am. You’ll want to allow time to get through the port-a-potty line and visit with the other excited participants. If you need to pick up your packet, plan to arrive no later than 7:45, as race day pick-up closes at 8:15am.


Q:
Can I register on the day of the race?
A: YES. Race day registration begins at 7am AT Carpenter Place. It is $35 per person.


Q:
Can I pick up a race packet for someone else?
A: Yes, but please make sure they know you are picking it up for them, so they don’t come in themselves and find it missing.


Q:
How do I find out my finish time?
A: Results will be posted on race day afternoon. Check this Web site for a link to results!

Who benefits from this event?
